This is the first time for "Pencil to write" to travel to the sea during the winter season. But it was not disappointing at all. Because the sky is very beautiful and our destination this time is at "Koh Sichang" Chonburi province.
Traveling to Ko Sichang is a breeze. Simply hop on a van from Bangkok's Ekkamai Bus Terminal to Sriracha for 100 baht. Disembark at Ko Loi Pier and board a ferry to Ko Sichang for 50 baht. The ferry ride takes approximately 50 minutes, and you'll be on the island in no time.
Getting around Koh Sichang is easy. You can rent a motorbike to explore the island at your own pace. If you don't feel comfortable riding a motorbike, there are also three-wheeled skylab taxis available for 250 baht per ride.
Our journey commenced with a visit to the revered "Khao Laem Shrine", a sacred landmark on Koh Sichang. This revered site houses the deities of Khao Laem, Heng Chia, and Guan Yin. From this vantage point, we were treated to a panoramic vista of the entire island.
The "ดินสอขอเขียน" then headed to the "Phra Chuthathut Rajathan", a significant tourist attraction on Ko Sichang. This palace served as a summer residence for King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) and boasts spacious grounds and lush greenery.
The Asdang Bridge: A Historical Landmark
The Asdang Bridge, a striking white wooden bridge stretching out into the sea, stands as a prominent highlight of the area. Built during the reign of King Rama V, it served as a landing point for the King's ship upon his return from a visit to France. Today, the bridge has been beautifully restored while preserving its original features.
After taking photos on the wooden bridge, we headed to the "Green Wooden House," a royal residence used by King Rama V for relaxation. Located by the sea, it now serves as a cafe, offering refreshments and snacks for tourists to enjoy.

It's time to hit the beach! We take a short drive to **Tham Phang Beach**, the only beach on Koh Sichang. This small beach boasts crystal-clear water and offers free sun loungers. You can order food and relax while enjoying the sea breeze.
The final must-visit tourist attraction on Koh Sichang is "Khao Khad Viewpoint", a stunning headland with a long, extending bridge. Visitors can stroll along the bridge to enjoy the panoramic views and descend to the sea. This location also offers breathtaking sunset vistas. Historically, it served as the site of King Rama V's pavilion for admiring the scenery.
This is another great tourist destination near Bangkok that is easily accessible for a day trip or an overnight stay. You'll discover that Thailand has many more beautiful places to explore and experience for yourself.
